Episode #32: Sunita Van Heers (Sureal)

For episode 32 of the Bao Podcast, we've invited a familiar face! Sunita Van Heers returns for a second episode. She is the founder and managing director of SuReal.

SuReal is a consultancy firm that supports companies and governments in making buildings, urban projects and their companies more sustainable. Through a multitude of services such as studies, certification and project support in various areas, such as ESG, water, energy, waste, ecology, legislation, etc., they guarantee an integral and sustainable result. All of this with one goal: to have an impact on society.

One of our goals is to change the value chain in the real estate sector. For example, we currently have a renovation project of more than 40,000m2 and we have convinced the developers here not to demolish this old building, even though it has 7 floors on top. Thanks to some analyses, we were able to convince them to keep the building and build it on top of it by reinforcing some parts of the building.
