Episode #22: Ishmael Ben-Al-Lal (Futech & iLumen)

For episode 22 of the Bao Podcast, we welcome Ismaël Ben-Al-Lal. Ismaël is an entrepreneur and innovator who has made a name for himself in the world of renewable energy. After studying at Group T at the University of Leuven, Ismaël set up his own company in 2008. Later, he started a company called iLumen. Both companies work on green, renewable energy.
He is also an investor and consultant. This allows him to share his expertise and insights about renewable energy and the importance of entrepreneurship to bring about positive change.
When Futech was four years old, we had an annual turnover of 43 million euros with only 10 people active in the company. We outsourced everything that had to do with labor. This was very important because when the market collapsed in 2012, our overhead was still very low compared to our competitors, making us one of the only remaining companies in the industry.
