For episode 17 of the Bao Podcast, we had the honor of welcoming Kristof De Jaeger. Kristof is the director of Inhout, a company specializing in timber frame construction. They focus on sustainable business practices using bio-ecological materials. Since 2020, they have also been producing modular homes under the name Mobble. This is the result of a collaboration with Ghent University. These homes, called “Mobbles,” are also made from sustainable materials (timber frame with bio-ecological insulation) and are flexible and adaptable to current needs.
At Bao Living, we have already had the honor of collaborating with Mobble when they were just starting out. We love the idea behind it, and Kristof has been on our podcast guest list for a long time, so we are very happy to welcome him.

What sets us apart from other modular builders is our circular and environmentally friendly approach. Our idea is to create something that can later be completely dismantled and reused in other projects.
